Team Billing Explained

Quick Answer

TeamBench uses organization-level billing. The organization owner manages the subscription, all team members share the credit pool, and billing is handled through Stripe with support for major credit and debit cards.

Team billing in TeamBench is centralized at the organization level. One subscription covers the entire team, with credits shared across all members. This simplifies administration and ensures consistent access for everyone.

The organization owner is responsible for billing. They select the plan, manage the payment method, and can view invoices and billing history. Only the owner can change the subscription -- admins and members cannot modify billing settings. This prevents accidental changes and ensures financial control stays with the appropriate person.

Credits are shared across the entire organization. When a team member submits a review or sends a chat message, the credits come from the organization's shared pool. This means the team's total usage determines whether the credit allocation is sufficient, not individual usage. Monitor your team's total consumption to ensure the plan provides adequate credits for everyone.

Billing is processed through Stripe, a secure payment platform. TeamBench accepts all major credit and debit cards. Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle -- monthly or annual, depending on your choice. You can update your payment method at any time from the Settings page.

When you add team members, they gain immediate access to the organization's features and shared credit pool. There is no separate billing action required for adding individuals -- your plan determines the maximum team size, and anyone within that limit joins seamlessly.

If your team grows beyond your plan's member limit, you will need to upgrade to accommodate additional members. The upgrade takes effect immediately, and any prorated charges for the remainder of the billing cycle are applied automatically.

Invoices are generated automatically and available for download from the billing section of Settings. Each invoice includes the plan name, billing period, amount charged, and payment method used. For organizations that require invoices for expense reporting or procurement processes, these documents are always accessible.

For organizations with specific billing requirements -- purchase orders, custom invoicing terms, or consolidated billing across multiple organizations -- contact the TeamBench sales team to discuss enterprise billing arrangements that meet your procurement needs.

Related Questions

Can I get a receipt for my payment?

Yes, invoices and receipts are generated automatically after each payment. You can download them from the billing section in Settings. Each receipt includes all details needed for expense reporting.

What happens if a payment fails?

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry the charge. You will receive a notification to update your payment method. If payment is not resolved, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan after a grace period, but your data is preserved.

Can multiple people manage billing?

Only the organization owner can manage billing. This is a deliberate design choice to prevent accidental changes. If ownership needs to transfer, the current owner can transfer ownership to another team member from Settings.
