What is Crawl Budget?

Crawl budget is the amount of attention search engine bots allocate to crawling your website. It is determined by two factors: crawl rate limit (how fast the bot can crawl without overloading your server) and crawl demand (how much the search engine wants to crawl based on popularity, freshness, and importance). For most small to medium websites, crawl budget is not a concern because search engines can crawl all pages easily. It becomes critical for large sites with thousands of pages, where inefficient crawling means new or updated content may not be indexed promptly.
